2020 Teacher Thank You card

Howdy all,

Welcome to my blog post.

What a year it's been, especially in the world of educating our children. Many of us even spent large portions of this year home schooling and learning just what it's like to teach our own children. I'm not sure about you, but I have a new found respect for our great teachers. I always appreciated them, just now more than ever. So I thought now would be a good time to start working on some simple but cute Teacher Appreciation cards.

Today we will be looking at a simple card to show appreciation to those hard working and dedicated teachers. This is a card using the Harvest Hello stamp set and the Plaid Tidings 6"x6" Designer Series Paper.

My favourite paper of the year, the stunning and versatile Plaid Tidings paper is retiring soon and is now ON SALE as part of the Giant Year-End Closeout and already in limited stock left. To see what other great items are retiring and on sale click the picture below.

This card uses a a large white stitched circle tag as the feature  with the large apple stamp. Just a tip when stamping these, thin end of twig closest to apple for apple, thick end of twig closest to pumpkin for pumpkin. The use of Early Espresso ink and Early Espresso cardstock bring the card together and the nature feel. The pink of the Plaid paper and the Poppy Parade blend soften and yet brighten up the card.

The strips of Early Espresso cardstock have been covered in a heavy layer of Wink Of Stella which gives this interesting textured look. The apple and white circle have also been highlighted with Wink of Stella to make them pop. Seriously some one should take the Wink away from me, I got a little too excited every time I use it 😉.

Thanks for coming over and having a look, I hope you feel inspired to create your own cards and projects, please see below for a link to products used to make the above card.
